The Strip Joint Inc - Furniture Stripping, Refinishing & Repairs was started by Jim Willey in 1983. Jim had worked with refinishing and selling furniture most of his life, turning it into a business. Jim's daughter, Kristan Willey Riffe, worked with Jim for many years, learning the trade from her father. Along the way, Kristan married David, and they would both work at the shop with Jim. In 2012, Jim developed serious health issues, and was no longer able to work. Kristan and David took the business over at that time, while tending to Jim. In August 2015, Jim passed away from the health issues, knowing Kristan and David were going to continue to make him proud.
One-Stop Destination for All Your Furniture Restoration Needs
The shop has underwent many changes recently, as we have began working with numerous companies in the area. More noticeably "The Strip Joint" was renamed "A Strip Joint, Inc." in November 2015, and the business not only carries the license, but we acquired insurance as well. We still refinish and paint furniture, but have begun refinishing kitchens, bars, or anything that we can apply our trade to. Additionally, we will do furniture modifications that do not involve upholstery. Kristan continues to cane and rush chairs, but you will have to call for the current rates.
